A restaurant with character, Fat Michael's is the place to while away the hours... feasting your eyes on the interesting furniture pieces and decors. One would be tempted to ask who Michael is and if he is, indeed, FAT! But, alas, he never showed up. Food is cooked to perfection but sssssslow . Call to reserve, a definite must. Seats are limited. My expectation for this patisserie was high up in the heaven. Fleur de Lys came highly recommended by friends and fellow bloggers. Sad to say that their cakes and pastries did not pass my standards for Great Cakes. On the plus side, the place is a pleasant retreat from the busy life outside. Try their Fleur de Lys ice tea. This time it was Bingchaver Myra and hubby Rashdi who decided on the venue for lunch. Cafe Ten Titas (Aunties), an interesting new Pinoy restaurant, was conceived around the recipes created by the owner's 10 aunts. A must try is the Twice Cooked Adobo, which was very juicy and tender, according to Rashdi. The Norwegian Salmon also tops the list of Best Food. However, their Crepe Saba Langka, Chocolate Turtle & Molten Lava Cake failed to impress our sweet tooth.

Laughter IS the best medicine! Bingchavers Andre Dan & Alain had a good doze of it, when they attended the matinee show of Zsa Zsa Zaturna ze Musikal last 22 April. They had a blast meeting the cast of the show at the new PETA Theatre ( behind QC Sport Club.) Eula Valdez was AWESOME and sang very well. Wilma Doesnt was hilarious. Now on its last 3 days of showing (28, 29, 30 April). CD of ze Musikal is available for purchase after the show.

They called us, "Your Majesties" at the Arya, a new Persian restaurant located at the Promenade Mall, Greenhills. A must try for Persian food lovers!!! Thrice was I denied by "The Embassy de Familia dela Alain" to go to the U.S.A. to see DISNEYLAND. This time I made sure that I wasn't going to miss the chance to visit the magical kingdom in Hong Kong. At my age, I don't think anyone can imagine nor comprehend the thrill that I experienced, when I went to the counter and purchased my first ever ticket to the wonderful world of Disney !!! An awesome magical moment that I will forever treasure.

Overseas Bingchaver Mimmie decided to extend her stay here in Manila. So on her last day she invited Inna & me for dinner at her place. Gosh, the gigantic prawns from Aparri were absolutely delicious ! All thanks to her father, Uncle Andres, who brought it all the way from the province!!! Aunt Nenita's wonderful cooking made the prawns even more special.... the secret?... SPRITE lang.

After dinner, our Chill Out session was held at the sala. We went nuts over KARAOKE !!! Banzai!!!

Finally, we tried the famous Half Moon shape Bibingkas at, where else, the Half Moon cafe near ABS-CBN in Quezon City. The Bibingkas are freshly baked with different fillings to choose from... cheese, chocolate, or corn. Try the cheese filled Bibingkas. They're really goodah!
Our overseas Bingchavers Nat, Mimi, Ian and his brother Allan were all here in Manila to spend new year's eve with Bingchaver Alain.
